Consultation

Consultation

Who are you? What kind of life and business balance do you desire?

I provide consultation for two types of therapists:

1) therapists who are new to using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy protocols to treat obsessive-compulsive disorders and specific anxiety disorders, and

2) those needing to establish their own private practices, regardless of their modality. This includes those needing to know what order in which to do what’s needed to establish their own private practice.

I assume that you have a license. I don’t provide clinical supersion.

I also don’t charge thousands of $$ for a “course” in how to establish a private practice. I have no ill will for those who do. However, I have made it my mission to help other licensed clinical social workers and counselors (I have master’s degrees, and have had licenses, in both fields) therapists easily establish a private practice that allows them to hand the best work/life balance possible, without falling prey to agencies who force them to sign non-compete agreements or worse, work them 9-10 hour days to get established.

In my modality-specific consultations, I blend in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and Motivational Interviewing along with the GOLD STANDARD CBT protocols.

In my business-oriented consultations, I help provide provide actions plans for setting up as a new therapist, including the business nuts and bolts. We were not not taught how to handle the business end of this in graduate school.

—> In a  modality-oriented consultation session, the consultee brings a case or cases to discuss including any concerns or questions about clients and client presentation.

Rates are $75 for 30 minutes or $125 for 55 minutes. We can meet as often as you need. There is no minimum, or maximum, sessions or commitment for you.

Do as you need, and as you will. Come as you are.

I have no emails lists. Nothing to subscribe to. As a senior clinician, (16+ years in the field) who has worked in many levels of care, I’ve learned a lot. I don’t need or want to get rich sharing that with you. I just want to help those who want to help others. I charge for my time, but I probably charge less than most.

Cheers,

Misty
